Golden BC rockies

The small town of Golden has a location to dream of: surrounded by the National Parks of Glacier, Yoho, Banff, Kootenay and Mount Revelstoke with the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges to the west and the Rockies to the east.

The town is easily accessible by road (2.5 hours from Calgary).

Increasingly Golden is being used as a base for exploring the surrounding areas - Lake Louise is only 45 minutes away, Field and Yoho only 30minutes, Glacier to the West just 30 minutes, Revelstoke only 11/2 hours and Radium to the south less than 1 hour.

Don't move from place to place each night never unpacking those bags!  Golden is a great place to make your centre.

Golden is a gem of a mountain town, just off the TransCanada Highway with a rich history and heritage. When CP Rail chose to build the railway through here in the late 1800's the Swiss Mountain Guides arrived and the history has grown from there.

Off the beaten track,  you won't find the crowds spoiling many a dream location: rather a down to earth mountain town, with genuine locals, arts, culture and breathtaking secret spots to explore.
